Glasgow synth-pop trio CHVRCHES visited the Hollywood Palladium for the first of two sold-out L.A. shows. With only one album to their name, the band already has become a sensation thanks to their solid dance textures and emotive indie-electronica. Lead singer Lauren Mayberry insisted they would be back to L.A., but that they would have to write more songs first. Framed by multi-instrumentalists Iain Cook and Martin Doherty, Mayberry conquered the crowd with her sweet and strong vocals. Cook shifted between synth and bass, and sampler virtuoso Doherty stayed animated behind his podium.
